Aprehend Treatment

Required Before Arrival

Remove bedding and washable fabric items from the bed, floor, furniture, and other exposed areas. Place sheets, pillowcases, blankets, clothing, towels, and other washable fabric items in a clothes dryer and run them on the highest heat setting the fabric can safely tolerate.After drying, place the items directly into clean, heavy-duty contractor-style garbage bags. Keep the bags sealed until the items can be safely returned to the treated area.Remove loose clothing and other washable fabric items from floors, chairs, upholstered furniture, and around the bed. Place these items in the dryer on the highest heat setting the fabric can safely tolerate, then place them directly into clean, heavy-duty contractor-style garbage bags and keep the bags sealed.Reduce excessive clutter. Remove unnecessary items from floors and around beds, upholstered furniture, baseboards, and other areas that technicians must access. Do not move potentially infested belongings into clean or untreated rooms.Provide clear access around beds and furniture. Move beds, nightstands, upholstered furniture, and other items away from walls where practical so the technician can access baseboards, bed frames, furniture edges, and other bed bug travel areas.Vacuum dusty baseboards and floor edges before service. Immediately empty the vacuum contents into a sealed plastic bag and dispose of the bag in an outdoor trash container.Leave clean clothing in dressers and closets unless it is visibly infested. Extensive emptying of drawers and closets is generally unnecessary.Leave mattresses, box springs, bed frames, furniture, and normal room contents in place. Do not discard or move these items to another room or untreated area.Tell Top Bed Bug Pros about any pesticides or bed bug products recently used in the treatment area. This includes sprays, foggers, powders, essential oils, insecticides, or other pest-control products.Provide safe and clear access to all areas scheduled for treatment.

People, Pets, and Animals

People and pets must remain out of the treatment area while Aprehend® is being applied. Fish tanks, terrariums, small-animal cages, and similar enclosures must be removed or properly protected before treatment. Do not reenter the treated area until the required reentry period has passed.

Day-of-Service Decision

The technician will evaluate preparation and site conditions upon arrival. Top Bed Bug Pros may proceed, modify the treatment plan, postpone or reschedule service, or decline treatment if conditions prevent proper application. Preparation deficiencies or conditions that interfere with proper treatment may reduce treatment effectiveness and may limit or void warranty coverage.

After Your Aprehend® Treatment

DO NOT CLEAN OR DISTURB TREATED AREAS. Aprehend® works by creating treatment barriers in areas where bed bugs are likely to travel. Bed bugs must cross these treated surfaces for the treatment to work.Do not wash, wipe, scrub, vacuum, spray, or otherwise disturb treated surfaces.Do not apply household cleaners, disinfectants, pesticides, bed bug sprays, foggers, powders, essential oils, or other pest-control products to treated areas. Cleaning or contaminating treated areas may reduce or eliminate the effectiveness of the treatment.CONTINUE NORMAL BEDROOM USE. After the approved reentry time, continue close sleeping in and normally using the treated bedrooms. Do not begin sleeping in another bedroom, on a sofa, or in another part of the property simply because treatment has occurred. Changing where people sleep may change bed bug movement and interfere with the treatment strategy.DO NOT MOVE INFESTED ITEMS BETWEEN ROOMS. Do not relocate mattresses, furniture, bedding, clothing, luggage, or other potentially infested items from treated rooms into untreated areas. Do not discard mattresses, box springs, furniture, or other belongings unless directed by Top Bed Bug Pros.

What to Expect After Treatment

Aprehend® is not an instant-kill treatment. It is a biological barrier treatment designed to expose bed bugs as they move through treated areas. You may continue to see live bed bugs for a period after treatment. Seeing occasional bed bug activity shortly after treatment does not automatically mean the treatment has failed. Do not disturb the treatment or begin applying additional pest-control products because you see bed bugs after service. Contact Top Bed Bug Pros if activity continues beyond the timeframe discussed with your representative or if you have questions about what you are seeing.

Reentry

No person or pet may enter treated areas during application. The standard reentry period is four hours after treatment. Do not reenter sooner unless Top Bed Bug Pros confirms that reentry is permitted.

Customer Acknowledgment

I received and reviewed these preparation and post-treatment instructions. I understand that the effectiveness of Aprehend® depends in part on proper preparation and leaving treated areas undisturbed after service. I understand that failure to prepare, cleaning or disturbing treated areas, applying other pesticides or cleaning products to treatment barriers, moving potentially infested belongings into untreated areas, or otherwise interfering with the treatment plan may cause postponement, modification, additional charges if separately agreed, or loss of warranty coverage.
