Once the heat treatment is complete, we add a second layer of defense with Aprehend®, an EPA-registered biopesticide specifically designed for bed bug control. Aprehend uses naturally occurring fungal spores applied strategically in areas where bed bugs travel. When a bed bug crosses a treated area, the microscopic spores attach to its body. The bed bug can then carry those spores back to hiding areas and other bed bugs.
According to the manufacturer, affected bed bugs typically die within 3–7 days. Even more importantly, properly applied Aprehend barriers can remain active for up to three months, providing residual protection long after the heat treatment is finished.
